Challenge: We were approached by a leading Securities Arbitration Lawyer and Investment Advisor to go through more than 20000 NASD and NYSE award cases. We had to do a full scale internet search on all the Brokerage firms involved in the arbitration awards from 1994-2004 to determine whether the firms were registered with either NYSE or NASD or both, whether and when they had ceased functioning or merged with some other firm.
Solution: Our Subject Matter Experts understood the requirements well. We conducted intensive search on NYSE, NASD sites, Google and other similar search engines and more importantly, on Secretary of State sites to gather the relevant information.
Results: Based on work executed by SunTec, the client recently published a statistical analysis of ‘how claimants fare in mandatory arbitration of securities disputes.’
