Win32 application and Remote Login:

We developed a Win32 application running off the client's Windows 2003 server. It has an image area with controls to move/zoom the image. Another to enter the relevant details. The images can be pooled together in batches and assigned to data entry operators. One also has Edit/Verify mode for checking by team leader or another operator to ensure accuracy.

This server also provided Terminal Services to allow remote login. Terminal Services in Windows Server 2003 provides new options for application deployment, more efficient access to data over low bandwidth, remote management, and other tasks.

It became a kind of workflow, where we fitted in quite nicely with a dedicated team of 16. The client would scan documents (mostly invoices, delivery notes etc.) during their day, and make them available in batches on the server. End of their day, morning for us, our people would index these scanned documents using remote login. Technically, the documents & the application in which the captured information is going, do not travel to us. We just get to access their server using remote login. End of our day, next day morning for the client, the work is completed.

Coupled with our strict compliance with SunTec's Data Security Policy, the client found this solution a perfect match for their requirements, and have been using our services with a dedicated team for over 2-1/2 years.
